About Lisa-Marie

BMus(Hons), GradDipPsych, BBehSc (Psych Hons), MPsych (Clin)

I am a Clinical Psychologist with considerable experience working in community mental health, the private sector and university sector. I work with clients across the lifespan but am particularly passionate about promoting mental health and well-being for children, adolescents and young adults. In addition to my private work, I also work part-time at Monash Children’s Hospital.

I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy – working with you to develop a shared understanding of what your challenges may be (and why), and then using this to formulate a treatment plan that best suits your needs and preferences. When working with children, I also work closely with important people in the young person’s environment (e.g., parents, families, schools and other professionals). This collaborative and systemic approach can optimise what is achieved in therapy by supporting families to use coping strategies outside of the therapeutic space, and by modifying environments to better support a young person’s needs.
